The Lynx is a new production A-Class catamaran built by Fast Forward Composites and developed with an experienced group of designers, builders and sailors, all focused on classic A-Class performance. It is built to aerospace-quality standards in our ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified shop.

The team behind it

Hull

Jeremy Laundergan

Designed the hull as a purpose-built classic A-Class platform, not a compromise design.

Foils

Paul Bieker

Developed the daggerboards and rudders specifically for classic sailing.

Deck and systems

Bruce Mahoney and Manuel Armenanzas

Worked together on the deck layout and every control, to make the boat efficient and intuitive to sail.

Build

Wolfgang Chamberlain

Guided the build process, from mold making and laminate schedules to weight control.

Sailing experience

Ben Hall

Has sailed A-Class catamarans since 1996 and helped rig the boats alongside the team through the summer.

Built like an aerospace part

Hulls, decks and parts are autoclave-cured from high-quality pre-preg materials, for precise, repeatable construction.

The first production run is eight boats, each finished in a different color.
